Some board games have a way of determining the starting player, either by a die roll or depending on your starting hand in a card game. However, a lot of other board games do not use a die or don't have an easy way to determine the starting player (e.g: Thunderstone, SmallWorld etc ...). Or maybe you are just looking for a different way to select your starting player.
Who Starts Playing? helps you achieve just that!
Who Starts Playing? is a simple and intuitive app for board gamers where you can simply tap around the screen to place your friends in the virtual gaming table and with the click of a button, you find out your starting player!
The idea behind Who Starts Playing? is to represent your seating arrangement at the game table to easily determine the first player visually.
Place your device flat in the middle of the gaming table and tap around the table image to tell Who Starts Playing? where you and your friends are sitting. Once you have tapped the positions of all the players click the Who Starts? button and find out who the starting player is!
But wait...there is more! What if you are playing a game where turn order is not necessarily clock wise, and you need to determine the starting turn order for each player? (e.g: Year of the Dragon)
Not a problem! Simply click the most left button to toggle to the "All players" option, click the Who Starts? button and randomize the starting order for everyone!
While Who Starts Playing? has been created with board games in mind, feel free to use for other activities like:
